Everyone is welcome here.
Effective 1/1/2022, a new federal law called the “No Surprises Act” was enacted. This law requires us to provide you with a “good faith estimate” of the total cost of your treatment. Estimating the total cost of psychiatric and psychotherapy treatment is difficult because the course of treatment varies for everyone. In psychiatry and psychotherapy, there are a handful of CPT codes (billing codes) that can be used and the prices for those codes may vary by practitioner. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. We will provide you with a document outlining your rights and estimated fees at least one business day before your service. You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
